I am honored, humbled, and thankful beyond words for our victory this week! As of this morning, I was leading my opponent by a count of 54% to 35%.

This grassroots victory demonstrates that you really have a voice! Together, we confounded pundits and political insiders alike with our win!

I ran this race on substance and results -- particularly my record of accomplishments while serving you on the BART Board. I asked that voters allow me to continue my work putting riders first and expanding affordable, reliable public transportation options for Bay Area residents. And the people responded!

I look forward to continuing to serve you in building a Bay Area public transit system that is the envy of the world. Please continue to stay engaged and help me in my endeavors.
